Landscape and territory
Rivers, gardens, thorns and sieged landscapes: how the artists of the gallery look at the land.
22 works

curator’s note
A theme that runs through the whole roster: the landscape as a place under pressure, looked at from the garden, the river, the thorn bush and the besieged landscape. Twenty-two works in every medium the gallery shows, from oil on canvas to generative video.
Juanna Pedro names it outright in Asedio sobre el paisaje, five engravings on aluminium, and in Castillo Desdén. Bastián Pino’s rivers and gardens and Darío Phillipi’s thorn bushes are the painted side. Colomba Fontaine makes a landscape of earth and dust in Padre Orellana 1734; Andrea Wolf sorts the pixels of found postcards in Weather Has Been Nice and of a mountain lily in L463218; Gianfranco Foschino’s The End projects one onto a screen. Videos by Valentina Guerrero and Camilo Ángeles are on loan or on hold.
Because the theme crosses media, the works here range from an engraving that ships flat to a projection with its own structure: each page states what the work needs, and the delivery is quoted at checkout. A collection built around this theme can begin with one engraving and grow by medium.
