What you pay, when your work arrives, and what happens if you change your mind or something goes wrong. How delivery and insurance work in detail is on the page Delivery & insurance (/delivery).
The price of delivery
Delivery is quoted live for your own address, on the page of each work, before you add it to the bag: you choose the carrier and the service and you see the complete total. The delivery price includes packing to a fine-art standard and insurance for the price you paid. Nothing is added at checkout. Works that cannot travel as a parcel (sculpture, large or very valuable works) are quoted by us within 48 hours; you buy the work once you accept that price. Collection in person in Mexico City is free, by appointment.
Preparation and arrival
Works leave from Mexico City. We pack within about three working days of payment; every delivery option shows the expected arrival dates with that time included. You receive the tracking number by email when the carrier collects the work, and you can follow it from your order page.
Outside Mexico
Import duties and taxes are set by the country that receives the work and are collected by the carrier before delivery, unless your delivery option says they are prepaid. We prepare the export and customs documents and declare the price paid. We cannot sell or deliver to destinations under international sanctions.
Returns within 14 days
You may return a work within 14 days of delivery, for any reason. Write to office@avant.dev with your order number and we arrange an insured collection. The work must come back in its original condition, with its certificate of authenticity and its packaging. We refund the price of the work to the original payment method within 14 days of receiving it.
Who pays the return
For a change of mind, the return shipment is at your cost, quoted the same way as the delivery; the original delivery is not refunded. Duties and taxes paid to a customs authority are not ours to refund.
Damage in transit
A work damaged in transit is on us. Check the box before signing, photograph any damage and tell us within 48 hours of delivery: we collect it, restore it or refund it in full, delivery included.
Exchanges
Works are unique, so we do not offer exchanges. Project-initiation deposits for consulting are refundable until the evaluation begins.
Payment
We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Payments are processed by Stripe and charged in US dollars; prices shown in other currencies are estimates at the day's rate. Your card details never reach us.
Gifts
At checkout you can mark a purchase as a gift: a handwritten postcard with your message travels with the work and no prices go in the parcel. For deliveries abroad the customs documents must still state the value. The 14-day return also applies to the person who receives the gift.
Who sells, and invoices
Avant.Dev is the trade name of Erick Gonzalez Aguilar, a sole proprietor registered in Mexico (persona física con actividad empresarial), Mexico City, office@avant.dev. Prices are the total amount to pay for the work, Mexican taxes included where they apply; delivery is shown separately before you buy, and nothing is added at checkout. Every order comes with a purchase receipt; if you need a Mexican tax invoice (CFDI), write to us with your tax details within the month of purchase.
Your rights
Nothing here limits your rights under Mexican consumer law (Ley Federal de Protección al Consumidor) or the consumer law of the country you buy from.
