Textile, ceramic and bamboo

Materials with a memory of their own: linen, fired clay and bamboo sheet. A small collection, five works, and a quiet one; each piece carries the history of what it is made of before it carries an image.

Milka Goldaracena’s La gallera, from 2023, is painted on linen, and her portraits Lucía (entre pescadores), Itzel and María Bravo are printed on bamboo sheet, a surface that keeps its grain under the image. María Rébora’s ceramic, the one three-dimensional work here, has found its collector.

Linen and bamboo travel flat and light, with the delivery quoted at checkout; the certificate records the material. Hang them away from damp and direct sun, as you would any textile, and they ask for nothing else.
